My guest today is Michele Engel, Founder, President, and CEO of a marketing consulting firm called Insightrak. Before starting her business in 2010, she had spent 30 years working in management positions for such organizations as Tandy/Radio Shack, The American Cancer Society, UCSD, SAIC, and The Scripps Research Institute. In addition to running Insightrak, she is a Business Advisor for the San Diego Small Business Development Center and teaches marketing and business writing at San Diego Community College.
As a marketing consultant, she specializes in marketing and sales automation systems, helping her clients discover the best software to use and customizing it to meet their needs. An early adopter of Customer Relationship Management software, she sees it as a tool that will help organizations experience a significant increase in revenues when set up and used according to best marketing practices. She hopes to turn entrepreneurs, marketers, and sales people into “followup fanatics.”
